The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe is in the style of a 1920s grand lodge with rough-hewn beams, rich leathers and massive granite and is set on the water’s edge of the north shore of Lake Tahoe, surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Elevation – 6,229 feet. The 26-acre resort is 35 miles southwest of Reno and 98 miles northeast of Sacramento.

The hotel's recreational facilities include a heated pool and jet spa, as well as a fitness club and a new 20,000 sq.ft. spa. The resort's six restaurants offer an variety of dining options: Lone Eagle Grille on the Lake boasts an elegant lakeshore dining room; Ciao Mien Trattoria features a combination of Asian and Italian food; Sierra Cafe offering buffet and a la carte menus; Cutthroat's Saloon offers a casual atmosphere and nightly entertainment; there is also Lakeside Bar and Grill and Stillwater Pool Bar and Grill.

About Lake Tahoe
The original settlers of Lake Tahoe were the Washoe Indians. It is the largest alpine lake in North America; 22 miles long and 12 miles wide with a surface area of 191.6 square miles and a 72-mile shoreline. It is the third deepest lake on the continent with an average depth of 989 feet. The maximum recorded depth is 1,645 feet or 5.5 football fields. The estimated volume of water is 39.75 million gallons or enough to cover the state of California to a depth of 14 inches. Objects can be seen at depths of up to 72 feet.
