Ian Carter is President of London Agricultural Commodities, Inc. based in London, Ontario.  L.A.C. is a major merchandiser of grains and soybeans as well as feed ingredients and co-products in both domestic and export markets and also owns and operates two country elevators in the province. L.A.C. is a subsidiary of Michigan Agricultural Commodities, Inc., a grain merchandising and elevator company with locations throughout the state of Michigan.
        

Ian graduated from the University of Guelph in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture and has been involved in the Ontario grain industry ever since. His career started with a two year stint with Master Feeds and in 1978 he joined Cargill where he held several management and grain merchandising positions over a period of 11 years. He has been with London Agricultural Commodities for the past 20 years.

Ian is a director of Goderich Elevators Limited, a public company operating two grain terminals and a mustard milling business in Ontario, and sits on the Eastern Standards Committee of the Canadian Grain Commission.

Ian’s favorite hobby involves his motorcycle and a long twisty road through some great scenery.

Ian and his family live on a cash crop farm near Kerwood Ontario.
