Dr. Peter Hicklenton is the national science director responsible for crop production system research with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. His work includes working with research teams across Canada involved in both conventional and organic system research. He shares management responsibilities for both the Atlantic Food and Horticulture Research Centre in Kentville Nova Scotia and and AAFC's cereal research centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. |
|
His most recent research activities have been involved with berry crop physiology. He has also worked extensively in greenhouse floriculture and vegetable production, and with ornamental nursery crops. In his spare time, he tends a small raspberry patch, and a few other fruit bushes that produce just about enough income to support some local 'good cause' fundraising! |
