North American Millers' Association
Washington, DC
Betsy Faga is President of the North American Millers' Association (NAMA), the trade association of the wheat, corn, oat and rye milling industry.
NAMA was established in April 1998 as a result of the merger of four separate associations representing the different types of grain milling. NAMA's 42 member companies operate 165 milling facilities in 38 states and Canada. Their aggregate production capacity is more than 160 million pounds of product daily, which is about 90% of the total U.S. capacity.
Prior to the merger, Ms. Faga held a variety of positions with two of the merged organizations -- Protein Grain Products International and the American Corn Millers Federation. She represented the associations before the administration and congress, developed research activities, and traveled extensively overseas in connection with the industry's participation in food assistance programs.
Ms. Faga is originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and graduated from Millersville University in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
