Wheat Quality Lab Appropriations
NAMA has been sponsoring wheat scab research at ARS labs in Albany and Pullman for more than five years. We appreciate this NAMA/USDA partnership.
The four USDA/ARS regional wheat quality labs – Wooster, OH, Manhattan, KS, Fargo, ND and Pullman, WA – have played a pivotal role in improving U.S. wheat quality. More than 95% of all wheat varieties are evaluated in these labs for milling and baking quality.
