Paul Maass was named president of the Commercial Foods business for ConAgra Foods in October 2010. The Commercial Foods segment accounts for about 35 percent of ConAgra Foods’ revenue and includes the Lamb Weston, ConAgra Mills, Spicetec Flavors & Seasonings and J.M. Swank businesses. Paul joined ConAgra Foods in 1988 as a commodity merchandiser in the trading business. Paul became ConAgra Mills’ representative to NAMA in 2005. He serves on the Board of Directors and has one of the permanent seats on the Executive Committee. He has been actively involved in the Annual, Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Leadership meetings. He has been the Chairman of the Budget/Finance Committee the last two years during which time the committee reviewed NAMA’s minimum dues structure and made recommendations to the Board of Directors. At the request of the NAMA Chairman he also chaired a committee that reviewed and updated NAMA’s staff benefits and administrative procedures. Paul has been a member of the Ad Hoc Committee on Production Data since 2005.
He provides industry leadership as Chairman of North American Millers’ Association and Grain Food Foundation’s board of directors. He also serves on Nebraska’s March of Dimes board of directors. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University.
