Dr. Deibel is the Director of Consulting Microbiology for Covance Laboratories. Within this position, she works directly with food and manufacturing facilities to develop and review food safety programs. Dr. Deibel conducts microbial harborage point investigations when a product or product contact surface is positive for a pathogen. Dr. Deibel provides training on HACCP, microbiology, good manufacturing practices and other food safety programs. She also has served as an expert witness in several legal cases relating to food safety claims. Dr. Deibel earned Masters and Ph.D degrees in Bacteriology and Microbiology/Toxicology, respectively from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
